Summer Pavilion
Case
Zern Pavilion is a summer pavilion built in July 2016 in Moscow's Muzeon Park, designed by architect Vlad Kiselev and Simplex Noise.

Intro

The shell has a free form with spatial nodes. Material limitations: only sheet material, production limitations: only a 3-axis milling machine.

Goals

Transform sketch visualizations into a built pavilion within 12 days with the help of a touch of magic (algorithms).

Result

In a short period of time and in almost round-the-clock dialogue with production (PARK PRO), the Simplex Noise team managed to develop 4 prototypes of nodes, the pavilion structure, and an algorithm that generated 945 drawings of unique parts.
